Terms and Definitions

• Domestic deposits

  The sum of all domestic deposits, including demand deposits, money market deposits and time deposits.
• Equity capital

  Total equity capital (includes preferred and common stock, surplus and undivided profits).
• ROA

  Return on assets, net income after taxes and extraordinary items (annualized) as a percent of average total assets.
• ROE

  Return on equity, annualized net income as a percent of average equity on a consolidated basis.

For over one hundred years the Bank of Mount Hope has been committed to effectively serving the financial needs of its customers. The Bank of Mount Hope was founded on March 17, 1902 and is one of the oldest banks in West Virginia.

In an effort to support the growth and development of its surrounding communities the Bank expanded into the Beckley, Raleigh County market by opening a branch office on Pinewood Drive in Beckley on February 15, 1995. The Beckley Branch was so well received that the Board of Directors felt that further expansion was needed for Fayette County and on March 9, 1999, a branch office was opened in the Fountain Terrace Shopping Center in Oak Hill.
