The Gratiot State Bank was incorporated on February 14, 1902 by J. G. Lund, C. M. Lund, J. C. Johnson, H. B. Betzold, E. A. Dorner, Henry Doring, E. R. Thompson and H. W. Burmeister. The bank was chartered by the Commissioner of Banking on July 20, 1903. The first president was C.M. Lund and the first Cashier was J.C. Johnson.
Gratiot State Bank has endured the Great Depression, numerous recessions, floods and the ups and downs of agriculture – never once closing its doors to its customers.
In 2002, the Gratiot State Bank constructed the new bank building and moved from the previous location on Main Street, Gratiot, Wisconsin. Gratiot State Bank takes pride in serving customers and community.
