Merchants & Marine Bank was established January 11, 1932 by a group of visionary citizens. The Bank has grown from $25,000 to over $600 million in assets. M & M Bank began with two small offices and has grown to thirteen offices serving Jackson and George Counties as well as Alabama.
The offices are conveniently located in Pascagoula, Moss Point, Gautier, Escatawpa, Wade, Hurley, Ocean Springs, St. Martin and Lucedale. Alabama locations include Gulf Shores and Crossville. From the original handful of investors, the ownership has grown to nearly one thousand shareholders. A one-bank holding company was approved by the shareholders in April 2008, and the stock is now held in the name of Merchants & Marine Bancorp, Inc.
