O’Bannon Banking Company was incorporated on November 20, 1905 as a Missouri State Bank with a mission of providing banking services with a personal approach to all of customers, both business and individual.
O’Bannon has expanded several times since its beginning in 1905. In 1977, the Bank opened a drive-in facility at the Junction of Highways 32 and 65 in Buffalo. In 1983, the Bank opened a second drive-in facility in the GEM Center near Fair Grove, Missouri. In 1999, as Buffalo and the surrounding community continued to expand, the Bank opened a full-service facility on South Highway 65 in Buffalo. The success of the full-service facility on South Highway 65 led to the closing of the drive-in facility at the corner of Highways 32 and 65 in Buffalo.
Recognizing the need to expand beyond Dallas County and the city of Buffalo, the Bank opened its third full-service facility in Strafford, Missouri. That facility opened in December of 2002. In October of 2003, the Bank opened its fourth full-service facility in Fair Grove, Missouri at which time the GEM Center facility was closed. In 2010 the bank opened its fifth full-service facility in Pleasant Hope, Missouri.
