Oklahoma State Bank serves Logan and northern Oklahoma counties. On December 5, 2011, the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City accepted an application from a group of local investors to merge with, and ultimately acquire control of, Town & Country Bancshares, LLC, the parent company of Oklahoma State Bank in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Through this merger, the group of local investors has acquired control of Oklahoma State Bank. The merger was consummated on July 3, 2012.
Oklahoma State Bank will remain fully operational throughout the process and will retain all current employees and namesake. As a result of the merger, the group of investors assumed all of the activities, assets, liabilities, rights and obligations of Oklahoma State Bank.
Oklahoma State Bank has been an institution in Oklahoma for over 100 years. Located just off historic Route 66 in Guthrie, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State Bank was previously owned and operated by the Haskell-Lemon family. After the merger, Oklahoma State Bank continues to be locally owned and operated, as the local group of investors merging with Town & Country Bancshares, LLC are also local.
