Just over 90 years ago a group of local businessmen from the surrounding area chartered what is now the Pioneer Bank of Wisconsin. The Pioneer Bank withstood the challenging times of the Great Depression and emerged with the strength to serve and grow with our community through World War II and the busy post-war years. Deposit balances grew to $1,000,000 by 1942. Deposit balances in 2010 exceed $50,000,000.

The bank has been located on the intersection of Miner Avenue and 2nd Street in the downtown Ladysmith since 1927. The bank relocated across the street from its existing footprint in 1960. In 2000 the bank established a branch location at the County Market on Highway 27. This satellite branch provides convenient extended hours at the busy grocery center. The Pioneer Bank of Wisconsin is locally owned.
