The Murray State Bank was chartered with the State of Nebraska on September 1, 1900. Since 1974 the bank has been owned by Swedlund Management Company with its principal being Larry Swedlund. The bank prides itself in being steeped in history and tradition, while constantly keeping current with changing times and technology. It was one of the first banks in the county to become totally computerized. It was also one of the first banks in the county to offer the electronic process of check imaging.
