Founded in 1887, Peninsula Bank has served the central Upper Peninsula for more than 125 years. Peninsula Bank holds the second oldest state bank charter in Michigan. The main office of Peninsula Bank stands on the same corner as the original bank building in downtown Ishpeming.
Over the decades The Peninsula Bank of Ishpeming have increased its presence in Marquette County to offer banking locations in West Ishpeming, Negaunee, and Marquette. In 2013 the banks opened newly remodeled branch in Negaunee (Super One Foods) and will be building its newest bank on Baraga Avenue in Marquette.
