The Union Bank was established on Saturday, September 3, 1910 and had capital stock of $25,000. During the Stock Market crash and the Great Depression of the later 1920's, The Union Bank survived and even flourished. In 1935, The Union Bank absorbed the Marksville branch of the Avoyelles Trust and Savings Bank of Bunkie, Louisiana. By 1941, there were three banks left in the parish of Avoyelles.
The bank, through strong customer relations, is growing and has opened branches throughout the area: Its first branch on Tunica Drive in Marksville was opened on August 3, 1974, on March 3, 1986, our Hessmer branch was opened, on January 23, 1993, our Bunkie branch was opened, on July 20, 2000, our Alexandria branch was opened, on April 24, 2003, our Pineville branch was opened, on June 16, 2007, our Moreauville branch was opened.
