Terms and Definitions

• Domestic deposits

  The sum of all domestic deposits, including demand deposits, money market deposits and time deposits.
• Equity capital

  Total equity capital (includes preferred and common stock, surplus and undivided profits).
• ROA

  Return on assets, net income after taxes and extraordinary items (annualized) as a percent of average total assets.
• ROE

  Return on equity, annualized net income as a percent of average equity on a consolidated basis.

The Bank of Advance is recognized as the oldest bank in Stoddard County and is the only existing banking institution in the county to have survived the Great Depression. The bank was chartered on January 30, 1902 and has been investing in local area communities for over 110 years.

It is the only existing banking institution chartered in the county to have survived the Great Depression period, when numerous banks across the nation failed. The locally owned and operated bank offers a wide array of financial services. It serves individuals, businesses, farmers, municipalities, school districts, churches and other not-for-profit organizations.
