Terms and Definitions

• Domestic deposits

  The sum of all domestic deposits, including demand deposits, money market deposits and time deposits.
• Equity capital

  Total equity capital (includes preferred and common stock, surplus and undivided profits).
• ROA

  Return on assets, net income after taxes and extraordinary items (annualized) as a percent of average total assets.
• ROE

  Return on equity, annualized net income as a percent of average equity on a consolidated basis.

The Blue Grass Valley Bank, with locations in Blue Grass and Monterey, Virginia, has been serving the residents of Highland County, Virginia and Pendleton County, West Virginia, as well as surrounding counties, since 1915.

In June of 2000, The Blue Grass Valley Bank began construction on a branch office in Monterey. On November 13, 2000, the Monterey Office opened to serve the customers and community of Highland County and the surrounding area, offering expanded services including a drive-up window and ATM.

In October of 2008, an addition to the Monterey Office was completed to house the computer operations and provide additional office space to serve the bank’s increasing customer base.
