The Dickinson County Bank of Enterprise, Kansas was chartered on June 2, 1894 as a result of a financial panic in 1887 that closed several area banks in Abilene, Hope, and Enterprise. The demand for banking was high and the bank was established to meet this demand. Over 100 years have passed since the charter, and the bank has managed to survive the financial panics of 1903 and 1907, the great depression, and a bank robbery in 1957. Presently the bank is still a small, independent, community bank committed to serving the needs of Dickinson County and surrounding areas. The plan is for the bank to be here another 100 years and beyond.

Dickinson County Bank recognizes that the financial goals and aspirations of the individuals of Enterprise and Dickinson County are unique. Dickinson County Bank is independent and financially strong, well capitalized, well positioned for the future.
